Director & Curator
Alicia grew up in St. Ives and its art tradition, where her parents ran the arts festival in the 70s and early 80s.
Following a career teaching Ancient Greek, Latin and Classical Art History, Alicia returned to Oxford University to undertake a PHD in History of Art, where she was awarded the Georgina Horlix Memorial Award and a Wolfson Foundation Reward.
After a brief spell as a sponsored Ironman triathlete and ultrarunner, she decided to open her first art gallery, Far & Wild Perranporth in 2018, later followed by Livingstone St. Ives in 2020.
She has three young children and still plans to finish her PHD one day.
Finance Director
Alistair has a background in the antiques trade and previously worked at Bonham’s.
When not creating Excel spreadsheets, he enjoys cold water swimming on the North Coast.
Assistant Director
Octi has an MA in History of Art from the University of Bristol. Her first degree was in Classical Studies, with a special interest in visual culture.
She oversees the running of the galleries, and is the direct call for interest in Emily Powell, who has styled her Queen of Emails. After a year and a half in St. Ives, Octi has returned to Bristol to open our new Clifton gallery.
Assistant Curator
Following on from obtaining a BA in Fine Art, Luke qualified for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, teaching art and design at college level.
With a special interest in sculpture, Luke joins Livingstone St. Ives bringing his knowledge of social media and how it is an essential tool to immerse everyone into the art world.
Operations Manager
Jo runs operations and logistics, ensuring the smooth running of the galleries and is in charge of packing and sending with operations now reaching worldwide.
She shares an appreciation of being surrounded with beautiful things and great art, and how connected that can make us feel.
Head of Press and Publishing
Imogen has worked in publicity for eight years, including stints with Hachette UK, Legend Press and Titan Entertainment Group. She trained at The Birmingham School of Acting and still occasionally works as a voice actor (she is currently the voice of a spaceship’s computer – a lifetime ambition!) and has a Master’s in Creative Writing from Oxford University. She loves cryptozoology and hates being late for things.
Exhibition Planner
Catie joined Livingstone St. Ives after a chance meeting with Octi whilst surfing. She works as Exhibition Planner to deliver our exciting schedule of shows.
Catie completed her BA in Photography at Falmouth University in 2019 and places special emphasis on the fundamental joy art can bring to our lives.
Gallery Associate | St. Ives
Charlotte joined in 2019 while job hunting from Indonesia. She was looking for a more rewarding career in the arts after returning from travelling.
Charlotte studied Graphic Design at Falmouth University and puts her artistic skills to use making exhibition cakes, jewellery and surface patterns in her spare time. While not at work you can find her wild swimming or making seaweed chess sets.
Gallery Associate | St. Ives
Neve graduated from Falmouth University in 2021 where she studied a BA in Fine Art. With a special interest in printmaking, Neve has been trained as a printmaking technician and continues to work as an artist in Falmouth.
When not at the St. Ives galleries or making work in her studio space you can find her sea swimming and exploring the Cornish coastline.
Gallery Associate | Clifton
Freddie joined the Clifton gallery shortly after its launch. She studied in Toulouse at L’École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts for her degree in Fine Art.
When she’s not at the gallery she’s either painting at home or can be found teaching English to international students in Bristol.
Gallery Associate | Clifton
Emma joined the Clifton gallery on its opening day last year. After a 10-year career working in PR, followed by a break to raise her children, Emma (a History of Art graduate and Barabara Hepworth aficionado) wanted to return to her love of art. When not chasing two small children around, she enjoys reading and holidays in St Ives.
