Louise Kaye lives and works in London. As a graduate of Fine Art and Critical Studies from Central St. Martins, she is both a ceramicist and painter.
She says, “I paint and print and use clay in much the same way. Ceramics are fired, broken and collaged just as paper and canvas are cut and glued. The ceramics question form and function: all of my work probes the limits of beauty and redundancy.”
When creating work, Louise bears a concept of nature and place in the centre of her creative vision, and shifts her subject matter from uncertain vulnerability to conscious celebration.
