Open from 11th June 2022
Livingstone St. Ives is beyond excited to announce that we have acquired the iconic Westcotts Quay as our fourth gallery space!
Planted on the harbour overlooking the bay, this sturdy stone building is emblematic of St. Ives, encompassing the town’s fishing heritage and its forward-looking artistic future.
It is probably most familiar to those outside Cornwall from dramatic waves breaking over it during the winter storms – we can’t wait to weather these!
With four exhibition rooms, this converted pilchard press has plenty of space to exhibit the gallery’s growing body of work and offers the opportunity for an exciting roster of events, workshops and demonstrations from some of the most exciting painters working in the UK today.
Alicia says, “We are proud to continue the legacy of Westcotts Quay Gallery, to bring the very best of contemporary Cornish art to the public. It has always been one of the town’s most cherished galleries and has been missed in the time it was closed, so we are planning to open it with style.”
Keep your eyes peeled over on our mailing list and on social media to find out what exciting things we have planned here.
This exhibition has now ended. Please visit our artists’ pages here to browse new work from them, and view our current exhibitions here to enjoy more from the gallery.
