“This series is based on Porthmeor and Zennor, and came about because I’ve been painting on raw linen and leaving a lot of it exposed, because it has the earthy tones of the sand. Sometimes you get these overcast days where they sky is this greyish brown, and it gives sense of wet sand reflecting the sky – this time of year you get all these dramatic cloud formations coming in.” Jack Davis
