In our Bristol gallery, at 30 The Mall, Clifton, BS8 4DS.
A fresh and uplifting exhibition of figurative and still life paintings by the gallery’s newest and emerging young artists.
Layla Andrews | Meg Fatharly | Philippa Paterson | Emily Powell | Rosa Roberts | Danny Romeril | Oriele Steiner
This exhibition, full of the joys of spring, features our pick of the most exciting, newest and emerging young artists on our radar.
From the vibrant, jungle-esque still lifes of Rosa Roberts, which subvert domesticity and transform interior spaces into a wild riot of leaves; to the complex portraits of Layla Andrews with their intriguing narrative drives; Philippa Paterson’s witty commentary on modern life and love; Danny Romeril’s expressive, semi-abstracted canvases with their emphasis on form and texture; and Oriele Steiner’s glowing, jewel-like works on paper, which offer an ironic take on human interaction; this is an exhibition not to be missed.
Each of these painters have a unique, unmistakable artistic vision and it is Livingstone St. Ives’ pleasure to bring their work together into one bursting with joy show.
We are holding an invitation-only private view at 5.30pm – 7.30pm on 10th March 2022 at our Clifton gallery, where we’ll be serving a limited-edition 4.2% IPA, presented in bespoke cans featuring artwork from our artists. There will also be soft drinks, discussion, plus goodie bags and a chance to speak to our artists. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to [email protected].
This exhibition has now ended. Please visit our artists’ pages here to browse new work from them, and view our current exhibitions here to enjoy more from the gallery.
